Levi’s story - Levi was my beautiful little boy - full of mischief, fun and love. He enjoyed a
normal six year old life, packed full of power rangers, toys, parties, school, friends and never
ending hugs and kisses from his adoring family. He started feeling unwell and complaining of
headaches in Dec 2005. Despite our growing concern and increasingly desperate attempts to make
doctors and specialists listen to us and give Levi a CT scan sooner, it was later - in fact too late
by the time they did actually scan him. The CT scan revealed the devastating news that Levi had a
tumour in his cerebellum, growing down into his brain stem.

Our world fell apart.

Levi was admitted to hospital immediately and underwent a 12 hour operation to de-bulk his tumour.
Despite putting up a real power ranger, hero’s fight, my gorgeous boy became critically ill. Levi
died in my arms, surrounded by his loving and devastated family, six weeks later, on August 29
2006.

Our lives were shattered, our hearts smashed into a million pieces-how do you even begin to carry
on, without the one little person that you love more than life itself?

In Memory Of Those Who Have Died Of Cancer

Rest in peace, you are now an angel in heaven free out of pain. Please visit the site i created in memory of all those who have died of cancer, as i know it needs awareness. You can leave a photo of your loved one who has past away from cancer, or light a candle in memory of them. You can also come together with other people and discuss with others who feel your pain.
To find the site, just type in 'In Memory' in the search box and it is the first site that comes up - titled 'In Memory Of Those Who Have Died Of Cancer' Thank you. x

I will never forget

Levi,

Remember me you used to be in my afterschool class. You loved to be outside in the fresh air playing with Louis, in and out of the tunnel you went. I always remember how good you were at drawing and used to sit for a long time drawing sometimes on your own. You have a wonderful family and I know you loved them so much, you always wanted to be with your sister downstairs in the baby room, you waited after tea for somebody to collect you, always wondering who it would be today. I know I have moved on now from the Nursery and I am now a school teacher as I am sure you can see, but I never forget you. I saw your Mum, Grandma and sister in the coop the other day and said hello. Everybody that remembers you has such fond memories.

It really touches me how so many people have are so kind to have put lovely messages to you and your family. I really miss taking and picking you up from school, you always had something exciting to about on the way, what you had been doing at the weekend with Layla. There were lots of happy times, you were always so kind to Layla and making her laugh alot, always giving her big kisses before you went to school. I miss having you read to me, and practising your spellings. Yours and your Grandads garden is always looking beautiful. Just to let you know that i am back at stanley day nursery looking after Layla. When we play outside and the sun is shining we know that you and your Grandad are making it shine.
love Jo xxx

Gorgeous boy

Hey my gorgeous boy!
grandad is with you now and I know the two of you will be having lots of fun and huggles.I bet grandad couldn't believe his eyes, when he got to heaven and saw you waiting for him-what an amazing feeling that must have been!We miss you both so much, no words are enough to decribe it.I hope you are looking after each other and are eternally happy. What I would give to be with you both again.....one day I will be, but for now I have to look after your little sister. She's got chicken pox at the moment!! She still talks to your photo and can't understand where her grandad has gone. I'm glad she doesn't understand that she's lost her best big brother and lovely grandad both in a year. But I have hope in heaven and God and know that you both did too .So be happy you two boys and have the best time ever up there. We love you both forever and ever and ever. All the love and huggles in the world, mummy and Layla.

this has got to stop

reading your story is just the same as mine, my little boy jordan was 7 years old when he started with headaches & sickness same as you i kept taking him to the doctors we also got tablets for migraine, gaviscon for indigestion & then they said he must be being bullied because he kept getting sent home from school after being sick , i was desperate i took him to a&e & they accused me of trying to jump the que to see a consultant so they sent us home. jordan was just getting worse eventually (4 months later) i got him into hospital that was a waste of time they did nothing for him & said he was fine !! after a week they sent him home still very poorley, once again after lots of trips to the doctor i got him back in hospital again for another week , this time they did a cat scan & it showed something but they didnt know what so ponty sent us to pinders for a mri scan & they forgot to put the dye in to show up the tumours so they said there was nothing wrong with him.
after a arguement with the waste of time consultant we insisted they transferred him to leeds & they did....within 48 hours jordan was diagnosed with a brain tumour & it had spread to his spine, we were lucky we got to have 18 months with jordan after he was diagnosed, but i feel they messed with my sons life & he probebly would have still alive now if they would have listened to me at the begining.
we live near each other so im guessing it was the same hospital.
my heart goes out to you i really do know how you feel xxx
if you ever want to get in touch then please do,please remember your not alone xx im sending my love to you all
xx love karen xx

Hi Levi

Hi Levi,
I can't believe it's been a year since you were taken away from us and you are very much missed. Everyone that knows you misses you. Lewis still talks about you and no other friend has come close to how he felt about you.He always couldn't wait to tell you what he'd been up to and I'm sure you were the same. Lewis would have loved to have told you he is a big brother now like you are to Layla. I'm sure it was you Levi, that made his wish come true - for a brother. you are the brightest shining star there is. Keep shining brightly Levi. Love from Emma (Lewis'mum)
